  SHEEPY RIDGE VIRTUAL TOUR

Location: Tulelake, CA

About 40 minutes south of Klamath Falls on the way to the Lava Beds National Monument is a large mountain dividing Tulelake and the Klamath Wildlife Refuge.

Sheepy Ridge is open for a very short time in the spring to staunch vehicles that can make the rough ride to the top. The road is later closed to mitigate fire danger and open only to foot traffic.

Late spring is the time when the hills erupt with the red, blue and yellow hues of several varieties of wildflowers, Indian Paintbrush (red-orange) being most prevalent.
